When you’re at the White Sand Beach, relax after dinner by sitting back at the nearby Sabay Bar (66 8 1864 2074). The bar is lively with the music from a Filipino band, resident DJs, and fire-twirling shows by skillful performers.
Ton Sai Restaurant (66 8 9895 7229) is currently located at Klong Prao Beach and serves fusion food. Its previous location was on White Sand Beach and has moved to its new home on Dec 2009. It is now on a new location with the same delicious menu and the same friendly service. The place serves good food and wine while you enjoy looking at the art gallery.
Buddha View Restaurant (66 8 9495 2107) is located at the end of the fishing village pier in Bang Bao. The place serves authentic Thai cuisine and European food, while offering the utmost in panoramic sea view and relaxation. Soft lounge music coupled with “Buddha beats” and intriguing cocktails set Buddha View apart from other restaurants.
Lung Talay Restaurant (66 8 1900 2388) on Ban Had Sai Daeng serves authentic Thai and Vietnamese cuisine. It has a parking lot in front of the restaurant for those who come with their own cars. The restaurant is located on semi-elevated ground allowing patrons to enjoy the view of the ocean on the Eastern side of the island. It is open from 8:30 a.m. until 9:0 p.m.
Other Restaurants
The Koh Chang Grand Orchid Restaurant is right on the roadside just a few meters away from the ferry pier. It serves fresh seafood and also serves as the resort’s in-house food outlet, in addition to another restaurant that is located inside.
The 3 in-house restaurants at the FuramaXclusive Resort and Spa Aiyapura, Koh Chang give its guests a truly diverse experience. The Ruen Plub Plueng is a traditional Thai restaurant serving only the best in Royal Thai cuisine. The Vimarn Kaew Restaurant, which translates to “Glass Palace”, serves delicious seafood barbecue and Mediterranean cuisine while offering supreme ocean view. Meanwhile, poolside and relaxed dining is available at the Pool Bar.
The White Sand Beach Restaurant is located right on the beach where guests can bask in the gentle sunshine or relax under the starry sky while dining. The restaurant serves Thai and European menus, as well as dishes individually prepared by the chef.
Mac Restaurant and Plaloma Cliff Restaurant are in-house restaurants at resorts of the same name. All located on White Sand Beach and serve seafood, Thai and international favorites. If dining al fresco is your current leisure pursuit, then Cookies Restaurant is the place to visit.
The Beach Restaurant at the KC Grande Resort & Spa is located right on the beach with an exquisite menu. The KC Pub and Restaurant on the other hand provides live music allowing guests a venue where to dance the night away. When the sun is too hot, guests can always cool down at the Sea Turtle Pool Bar which serves cocktails and various refreshments.
Pizza lovers should be delighted to know that there are pizza places on the island. Watering holes, or beer bars, can be easily found on every beach on the island.
Another popular restaurant at White Sand Beach is at the Koh Chang Lagoon Resort. Its Lagoon Cuisine restaurant serves Thai, western and seafood, and has a good view of the sunset in the evening where dining tables can be arranged on the beach.
The Terrace Restaurant in the premise of the Chang Buri Resort and Spa is, as the name clearly says, on a terrace where diners can enjoy food in a natural environment. Located on the hillside, diners can breathe fresh tropical air and be impressed by the view. The menu at the Beach Bar Restaurant is similar to that of the Terrace Restaurant. You can therefore enjoy the same delicious food with different atmosphere.
